Recognized by the California Department of Education as a Program of Excellence, MAEP’s Adult Basic Education program offers adults a way to advance their reading, writing, and math skills to the high school level. If your goal is to proceed from this class to the high school forum class, then you can be working on elective and high school credits and apply them towards an MAEP high school diploma. You can also proceed to a GED Preparation class. Students set their goals and the teacher prepares an individual learning plan for each student to support those goals. Computer-assisted learning, individual, small group, and whole class lessons are integrated into the curriculum as teachers engage with their students and facilitate successful student outcomes.

Classes are open entry. Enter at any time; subject to availability.
