The MetroED annual goals are approved by the Governing Board prior to the adoption of the district budget in June of each year. The goals are used to implement the three vision statements which guide MetroED in preparing students for success.
Goal 1: To maintain and improve programs for students in all career-technical and
adult education programs.
Goal 2: To measure and monitor student achievement and utilize results to
improve student learning.
Goal 3: Develop a legislative program that promotes sound Career Technical Education
(CTE) and adult education reforms, enhances the instructional goals of MetroED and expands funding
opportunities for MetroED programs.
Goal 4: Expand and enhance partnerships with education groups, business and
industry.
Goal 5: To streamline and update district programs, operations and procedures to
reduce costs and increase organizational efficiency.
Goal 6: To improve learning through the use of technology for alternative teaching
methods and collaborative teaching opportunities to enhance student learning.
Goal 7: To develop new leadership within the district and plan for administrative
continuity for the next decade and beyond.
Goal 8: To improve facilities and equipment to meet the needs of a changing economy
by providing state of the industry equipment and standards.
