Mission Statements
The three mission statements reflect the attitudes and vision
of all district employees.
The Metropolitan Education District mission encompasses both of our
programs: adult education, Metropolitan Adult Education Program (MAEP);
and the high school program, Central County Occupational Program (CCOC).
The mission statement of the Central County Occupational Center/Program (CCOC/P)
speaks to educating youth and adults for success in careers and college. This program
is targeted to high school students with “space-available”, only for adult students.
The adult education program, Metropolitan Adult Education Program (MAEP) reflects the
nurturing and caring attitude of teachers and staff in the adult program. The MAEP
staff is also dedicated to assuring that students persevere in order to reach their
highest potential in becoming well-educated, life-long learners and community members.
Metropolitan Education District
MetroED, the collaborative education district, prepares youth and adults to be sought after employees and contributing community members who learn and earn for a lifetime.
Central County Occupational Center (CCOC)
It is the mission of the Central County Occupational Center/Program to educate eligible high school and adult students for success in careers and college in a professional hands-on environment.
Metropolitan Adult Education Program (MAEP)
